We use high performing electric powered lawn equipment combined with manual garden tools. This reduces pollution and improves air quality for the customers, neighbors, and workers. Our tools are so quiet they can barely be heard from inside of your home.
We will provide seasonal mowing. Frequency depends on the weather and time of year. Grass will be cut to the optimal height for the time of year. Grass will be left tall at times to develop roots and suppress weeds naturally. Blades are kept sharp and mower deck is cleaned regularly to protect your lawn from diseases. Whenever possible clippings will be mulched back into lawn to build soil and keep nutrients on site. Grass clippings will be swept or blown from driveways, walkways and patios. We will maintain your garden edging throughout the season.
We will remove debris including fallen sticks and branches from your yard. We will manage leaves to prevent large piles from accumulating on your lawn. Our mulching mower can finely chop and mulch leaves into your lawn for enrichment. Where possible, we allow some leaves to remain in garden beds for a natural mulch and winter insect habitat. Yard debris and leaves will be placed curb side for town pick up. Alternatively we can place leaves into a compost pile on your property. Electric leaf blowers are used along with rakes, leaf sweepers and electric mowers to move and chop leaves.
We will pull weeds in garden beds with hand tools, never using chemicals. We add natural local hardwood mulch to garden beds to suppress weed growth, help soil retain water, and keep soil cool in the heat of summer. We allow small amounts of leaves to remain underneath the mulch to breakdown and enrich garden beds.
We believe in composting materials on site whenever possible. This reduces energy required to move materials off your property. It also saves you money spent buying compost and other soil enrichments. We are able to work with customers to set up a yard waste material compost system.
